Magnets and key rings

I now have two methods of production 

Hand painted and laser etched

With my original illustrations used on all my magnets and key rings, its just the method that's different.

The colourful designs are illustrated by myself hand-painted in my studio, I use stamps, archive inks and a touch of paint.  

With nearly 15 years experience creating souvenirs, I take pride in creating affordable, high-quality handmade products that allow visitors to take a piece of affordable art home with them.

 

Each design is a unique reflection of our beautiful Island, ensuring a special memento of an Isle of Wight visit.

My passion for souvenirs came about when I became a mum. I would look for little things in an attraction shop for my children to buy, sadly it was usually a piece of plastic made in china. It always seemed contradictory to promote a place with something made on the other side of the world. As the years went by, I began to change my own shopping habits and tried to not buy plastic products, to purchase from small business and support the local economy, and with that ethos I built my business.

Whilst I don't describe my self as a 100% eco friendly business, as sadly being a small business means I do have to import elements, I do consider my choices. My wooden magnet rounds are imported from sustainable sources in Poland, and arrive via ship. Printing is done on recycled or sustainable card stock, and either printed at home or an Island printers. I use biodegradable packaging and mostly only make to order to avoid waste and over production.

My recent purchase of a new professional laser engraver and cutter means on some of my products I I don't use paint, removing that element from some of my souvenirs, although the amount I use for the 'Illustrated Isle' range is very small as it is mostly watered down to colour. The laser means I am able to transfer designs quicker to my products, tweak designs and its wonderful for some of my line work illustrations.

I offer a bespoke design service which this year I am offering FREE on key rings and some magnets that are suitable for a laser design,  if an order or 100 or more units is placed using that design.
