'The Bag of Dopamine': AKA 'B.O.D'
A collection of Artists books housed within an old brown suitcase.

The Bag of Dopamine (BOD) a curated collection of imaginative artist books which represent my identity in its whole but in parts explores social subjects and neurodiversity. It creates relationships between materiality and heritage in its narrative. Its focus, as well as an exploration of identity, is the dissemination of information in an accessible way. It also was a chance to refine and show case my diverse style and practise media.
Housed within a repurposed vintage case, the project brings together tactile, playful works that interrogate personal experiences of dyslexia, feminism, and consumer culture. Each book is crafted using a range of techniques—from digital and hand-drawn illustration to symbolism and text-based works—emphasising process-led learning and the joy of making. Rooted in sustainable practices and informed by playful research, BOD invites viewers to engage physically and emotionally with storytelling through touch, texture, and interaction. The importance of materiality and its relationship to the subjects explored is throughout BOD. This project emphasises my belief in accessible, non-linear learning by placing personal voice, experimentation, and curiosity at its core.
